Information You Send
If a visitor types a name, phone number, or address into a search form, that submission is handled by the third-party provider behind the results. Lincoln Residents Directory does not keep a copy of the query in its own records. A message sent to the contact address contains whatever the sender chooses to include and is used to answer that message.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. These ordinary logs help maintain availability and show which references receive traffic in aggregate. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when those services are enabled by the host.
How Information Is Used
Technical information is used to operate the pages, investigate failures, understand aggregate use, and improve the reference. The service does not sell a visitor list or create a personal profile of individual readers. Contact information is used to respond to the message that supplied it.
External Portals and Services
Pages link to Placer County offices, Lincoln departments, California agencies, libraries, archives, courts, and third-party search tools. A visitor who leaves these pages is governed by the destination's privacy policy and terms. Sponsored results are supplied by another company, so any information entered there is handled under that company's practices rather than this policy.
Who Can Receive Technical Data
Hosting and other service providers may process server logs to keep the reference online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the limited automatic data described above when their tools are active. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. There is no sale of a private resident list from this service.
Security and Retention
The pages are delivered over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational, security, and measurement needs described here, subject to the hosting provider's systems. No account means there is no site password or user profile stored here for an attacker to access.
Visitors Under 18
Lincoln Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The service does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes that a minor sent information to the contact address, the parent or guardian may write so the material can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Your California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act and related amendments, Civil Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.100, may provide rights to know, delete subject to exceptions, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and avoid discriminatory treatment. Global Privacy Control may also communicate an opt-out signal where applicable. The Delete Act, Civil Code sections 1798.99.80 through 1798.99.89, created the DROP process for a single request to registered data brokers; its rules took effect January 1, 2026.
Because this service keeps little personal data, a request normally involves searching the contact mailbox and relevant technical logs, then removing material within the service's control. Use the Contact page to ask. The California Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, sections 7920.000 and following, governs access to existing state and local records, but public records held by Lincoln or Placer County offices are outside this service's control. Deletion or correction requests for those records belong with the custodian.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted here with the updated wording. Continued use after a revision means the visitor accepts the policy as changed. The date and substance of any material update should be checked before relying on an older copy.
